Customer Service Manager

Position Title: Customer Service Manager
Department: Sales
Reports to: VP of Sales
Location: Bastrop, Texas

Company:

Huntington Solutions is a privately held manufacturing company which designs and manufactures foam products for protective packaging for various industries, as well as cold chain shippers. It is comprised of seven plant sites located across North America.

Position summary:

Responsible for managing customer requests and communicating with customers on regular basis, inputting purchase orders into ERP system, following up with customer requests, coordinating with Sales Managers assigned to specific customers, and proactively developing relationships for transactional customers. This position will report to the VP of Sales with dotted line responsibility to select Account Managers in the various plant sites.

  • Successful candidate must be experienced in customer service and inside sales for a manufacturing company;
  • Candidates must have the communication skills and ability to work closely with both customers and company Sales Managers;
  • Candidates must be able to work as the primary phone liaison between the customer and the manufacturing facility with regards to technical and quality issues;
  • Candidates must be experienced in handling customer issues and facilitating proper actions for quotations, sampling, purchasing, order entry, expediting shipments, coordinating with office staff for logistics, standard product pricing, and product availability;
  • Active Listening – Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate;
  • Comprehension – able to acknowledge, interpret, and respond to information, ideas, inquiries, and instructions that are received either verbally or in writing;
  • Time Management – Able to efficiently manage one’s own time and workload. Capable of working independently without direct supervision;
  • Communication – Possesses both verbal and written communication skills that support clear and effective communication within the position’s sphere of contact;
  • Organization – Able to prioritize and manage daily tasks and assignments in order to complete them in the time allotted;
  • Focus – exhibits attention to detail and maintains high level of accuracy;
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management;
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements;
  • Associate Degree is highly preferred with related education and training
  • 3-5 yeas experience in Customer Service is required
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Word and Excel are required

Sales Account Manager

Position Title: Sales Account Manager
Department: Sales
Reports to: VP of Sales
Location: Radford, Virginia

Position summary:

Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in assigned market. Provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company financial goals. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area. Maintains strong, positive relationships with customers in the assigned market.

  • Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the assigned market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Responsible for the performance and development of any 3rd party Sales Representative(s)
  • Coordinates sales quote activities with the Engineering and Production staff of the originating production facility.
  • Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all products submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
  • Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
  • Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
  • Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports as requested.
  • Creates and conducts quote presentations and RFQ responses.
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
  • Develops pipeline of new opportunities to achieve long-term sales objectives.

General Warehouse/Assembly

This person will assist in production and will be required to perform a wide variety of tasks.

  • Assist in production as required.
  • Work with other production employees, operating various cutting equipment, and packaging and wrapping foam-based products.
  • Complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, and transportation of goods.
  • Load and unload materials to and from designated storage areas, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles.
  • Ability to use a tape measure and set cutting wires to within 1/32″ a big plus.
  • Wrap finished product and assembling cardboard containers.
  • Keep work area clean at all times.
  • Perform all related and special duties as assigned.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Ability to accurately read and write.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Ability work under pressure to process orders according to tight time schedule
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Good work history/background check.

Regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally move large foam blocks weighing 75+ pounds. Able to stand for long periods of time and have normal or corrected eyesight and hearing.
